As the Official Helicopter Service Provider of The 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills, BLADE is proud to fly you from Manhattan directly to our on-course lounge at Shinnecock Hills — making its return to one of the cathedrals of golf.
Arriving at the BLADE Lounge
We ask that you arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled flight. Due to high attendance at this event and for safety reasons, flights will enforce a strict boarding timeline and will depart without guests to ensure on-time scheduling and routing for the event.
Passengers are required to bring their ID or a government-approved ID. Please have it ready when you arrive at BLADE Lounge West. No changes to flights or times will be permitted.
Passengers may also be grouped based on weight limitations and distribution requirements for safety reasons. We appreciate your understanding.
Inclement weather
Safety is our top priority. In the event of a weather-related cancellation, affected guests will be notified promptly by the BLADE team and provided with available options in accordance with BLADE's Cancellation Policy.
Luggage policy
There are bag restrictions at The 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills. Please refer to their official luggage policy while planning your trip.
Due to helicopter weight restrictions, you are limited to one commercial carry-on bag (21.7 in x 13.7 in x 9 in) and one personal item, with a combined weight of no more than 25 lbs. Checked bags not permitted. Delivery of larger baggage can be arranged.
IMPORTANT: We will not be able to accommodate bag storage at any BLADE Lounges along your journey. This includes BLADE Lounge West, East, Wall Street, and Shinnecock Hills.
When you arrive at The U.S. Open
When you arrive at the landing zone, members of the BLADE team will greet you at your helicopter and take you to the BLADE Lounge in a short golf cart ride.
A USGA Lexus vehicle will be waiting to take you directly to the front gate (approx. 3-min ride).

Inside the BLADE Lounge, enjoy top-shelf cocktails, a preview collection from Peter Millar, and explore Joby Aviation's next-generation electric air taxi.
Your return flight
If you have a return flight booked, look for signage marked SHUTTLES TO BLADE at Gate 2. Please plan to arrive at the shuttle destination 40 minutes before your flight departure. A dedicated USGA Lexus vehicle will be waiting to take you back to the BLADE Lounge for your flight.
